Customs, Tariffs & Import Charges
Shipping & Customs Information
All orders are shipped from the United Kingdom. Please be aware that you may be required to pay customs fees, import duties, or local taxes when your parcel arrives in your country.
These charges are the responsibility of you, the customer, and must be paid to release your order from customs.
Unfortunately, we have no control over these fees and are unable to estimate the exact amount you may be charged, as this varies by country and local regulations.
We recommend checking with your local customs office for more detailed information.
Important Information for US Customers – Tariffs from 29 August 2025
All orders shipped to the United States are sent using Postal Delivered Duties Paid (PDDP). This means any applicable tariffs and import charges are collected at checkout when you place your order on the Atomic Knitting website, helping to avoid unexpected charges on delivery.
The tariff amount will be shown within the Taxes/VAT section of your order total. A small handling fee is also included, as Royal Mail charges this for processing PDDP shipments through USPS.
From 29 August 2025, orders valued under USD $800 will no longer qualify for the US de minimis exemption. As a result, tariffs may be applied to shipments entering the United States.
These tariffs remain the responsibility of the US customer, but under the PDDP service they are paid in advance at checkout. Royal Mail then remits the applicable charges as part of the shipping process, allowing your order to be delivered without additional tariff payments being requested on arrival.
Any orders with a value above the threshold amount for your country, will be charged import fees, and we recommend contacting your local customs office for more information price to placing your order.
EU Countries & Northern Ireland
Due to changes to GPSR regulations in the EU, from 25th November 2024 Atomic Knitting can no longer ship to any EU Countries including Northern Ireland (due to the Windsor Framework). Any orders placed from Northern Ireland will be cancelled and refunded.
